Philadelphia Flyers Release Preseason Schedule
The Philadelphia Flyers have officially announced via press release the schedule for the 2012 preseason as well as the schedule for training camp in anticipation of the 2012-13 regular season.
On Sunday, Sept. 16, the team will hold a four-day rookie camp that will conclude with a rookie game in Washington against the Capitals that will be played at 3 p.m. on September 20.
On Saturday, Sept. 22, main training camp will officially begin at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone with on-ice activities. Three days later the team will play it’s first preseason game when the Chicago Blackhawks come to Philadelphia.
The team will play a total of seven games over a two-week period against the Blackhawks, New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and Toronto Maple Leafs, with the Flyers playing three games at home and four games on the road (they will be acting as the home team in a game against the Maple Leafs that will be hosted in London, Ontario).
