New York Rangers In Process Of Acquiring Rick Nash, According To Report
On Monday afternoon, the New York Rangers are in the process of acquiring Columbus Blue Jackets superstar forward Rick Nash, according to a report by TSN’s Darren Dreger.
The move potentially puts an end to the dramatic saga that has been discussed since before February’s trade deadline, when the 28-year old requested that the Blue Jackets trade him in order to give him a fresh start and to help the struggling organization rebuild.
As of this time, the deal has not yet gone official as the two teams have yet to submit the offer to the league for approval and no trade call has occurred.
The NHL must give approval on the exchange of contracts involved prior to the trade going through.
