Pronger Back in Lineup

According the the Philadelphia Flyers twitter account, defenseman Chris Pronger will play in tonight's game against the New Jersey Devils. Pronger, who was recovering from wrist and back surgeries will take the ice for the first time as the Flyers captain.

Although it seemed like 'slow and steady' was the plan for Pronger's recovery, it now seems like he's back to playing shape and ready to go. This development is reminiscent of Pronger's return to action following injury. Last year, it ended up being a mistake.

Because of last year's experience, the consensus among those who follow the team was to have Pronger take his time to recover and come back at full strength. Whether or not that's the case is an unknown, but it is known that #20 and his snarl will be in orange tonight at 7pm.

Tonight's game will be broadcast on Versus.

Ah the Pronger saga. I'm sure everyone will be watching tonight's game with breaths held in. I guess he needs to return to action at some point. Preseason game might be a great way for him to ease in. We'll see!
