Zach Parise Rumors: Flyers Rumored To Be On Parise's Short List of Potential Teams

According to a report from TSN’s Bob McKenzie, the Philadelphia Flyers are still in the running to acquire unrestricted free agent Zach Parise.

Parise has narrowed his list of potential suitors down, and is expected to make his decision on Monday.

According to McKenzie, the other teams who are rumored to be on Parise’s short list are the Minnesota Wild, the Detroit Red Wings, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the New Jersey Devils.

It has been rumored that the Los Angeles Kings may also be in the running for Parise, according to Helene Elliott of the LA Times.

In an interview with TSN that aired on Sunday, Parise said that his priority was to get something done with New Jersey.

On Sunday afternoon, it was reported that the Flyers had made an offer to Parise, rumored to be a 12-year, 80 million plus deal. The team reportedly made a similar offer to UFA Ryan Suter, who is also set to make his decision on Monday.

While McKenzie did claim that Parise’s “short list” is speculative, this is certainly something to keep an eye on as further developments occur.

Penguins will get Parise, Flyers will retain Carle, Suter will go to the Wings and the Rangers will be pressured into overpaying for Nash via trade.
