Zac Rinaldo Out with High Ankle Sprain

General Manager Paul Holmgren released a statement around 4:30 p.m. Thursday detailing that Flyers forward Zac Rinaldo will miss approximately six weeks with a high ankle sprain suffered in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

Rinaldo scored his first goal in about a calendar year in Wednesday's win. He was also just one of nine players to play in all 44 games for the Flyers this season.

Rinaldo also added an assist this season all the way back in an October contest against the Phoenix Coyotes. As is his calling card, he also led the Flyers in penalty minutes with 101.

Plans for a call-up from the Adirondack Phantoms had not been detailed at the time of the statement.

UPDATE: Tye McGinn has been recalled and Rinaldo has been placed on the IR.
