Road Warriors: Flyers Finish West Swing With 3-1 Record; Beat Phoenix

The Flyers, in the middle of a six-game road trip, will come back home after a good trip out west.

The Flyers beat the Coyotes, 5-3, in come-from-behind fashion to end the western swing of their trip on a high note. They went 4-1, losing their only game to Colorado on Thursday.

The Flyers trailed as much as 3-1 for most of the first two periods. Goals by Rob Klinkhammer and Lauri Korpikoski in the first three minutes of the second period gave the Coyotes a 2-0 lead.

Scott Hartnell cut the lead in half immediately, but a bad turnover to Mikkel Boedker gave Phoenix another two-goal lead.

Brayden Schenn cut the lead in half again with two minutes, 45 seconds left in the second period. They then tied it up just five minutes into the third on Wayne Simmonds' 14th of the season.

Jakub Voracek broke the tie midway through the third, and Claude Giroux added an empty netter to put the game away.
