Report: Flyers Extend Goalie Steve Mason

The Flyers have extended starting goaltender Steve Mason, according to a report by ESPN's Pierre LeBrun.

LeBrun, an insider, tweeted "Hearing that goalie Steve Mason has signed an extension with the Flyers. No other details at this point."

Elliotte Friedman tweeted that Mason will get $12.3 million over three years. An official announcement will be made later today by the Flyers.

Mason's play this season has certainly warranted an extension. In 39 games Mason is 19-11-5 with a 2.48 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
