Habs Trio Shuts Down Flyers

Alex Galchenyuk, Brendan Gallagher and Lars Eller are a pretty exciting trio for Montreal.

The Flyers weren't very entertained by them though, and rightfully so. The trio combined for six points in the Canadiens' 4-1 win over the Flyers on Saturday.

The Flyers fell to 0-2-0 on the season with the loss. Their lone goal came in the third period from Vincent Lecavalier, who put in a rebound to cut the Canadiens' lead to 3-1.

The Flyers couldn't get any pressure on Montreal goaltender Carey Price either, who stopped 22 shots in the win. The Flyers were out-shot 34-23, and goaltender Ray Emery made 31 saves in his debut loss.

The Flyers play today at 5 p.m. against the Hurricanes. There will be a much longer recap tonight.
