Flyers Sign Overage FA Petr Straka

The Flyers have signed overage free agent forward Petr Straka to a three-year entry level contract, per his agent Allan Walsh on Twitter. 

Walsh added in his tweet that the Flyers were among 12 teams interested in the right winger. The contract is worth $832,500 plus a $277,000 signing bonus per year for three years.

Straka was drafted 55th overall in the 2010 NHL Amateur Draft by the Columbus Blue Jackets. He never signed.

The 20-year-old Czech Republic native spent the last season with Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the QMJHL where he potted 41 goals and added 41 assists for 82 points in 55 games.

In eight playoff games he scored 8 goals and finished with 18 points.
