Flyers Extend Raffl to Two-Year Deal

The Flyers announced after their 4-1 victory over the St. Louis Blues that they've extended left winger Michael Raffl.

Raffl's extension is for two years, worth $2.2 million for two years, locking him up through the 2015-16 season.

The 25-year-old Raffl has shown he can play anywhere from the top line with Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek to the fourth line where he currently plays. His speed, stick work and defensive presence has made him a solid member of the penalty kill.

Raffl has nine goals and 12 assists in 59 games this season.
