Flyers Extend Brayden Schenn

The Flyers have extended the contract of forward Brayden Schenn.

The Flyers signed Schenn to a two-year, $5 million dollar deal just hours after trading winger Scott Hartnell to the Blue Jackets for R.J. Umberger. Signing Schenn was one of Philadelphia's top priorities this off season.

Schenn, 22, recorded 20 goals and 21 assists in 82 games. Both totals were career highs.

Schenn was acquired from the Los Angeles Kings three years ago along with Wayne Simmonds and a 2nd round pick in 2012 in exchange for Mike Richards and Rob Bordson.
