Flyers Assign Raffl, Lauridsen to Adirondack
The Flyers have assigned left winger Michael Raffl and defensemen Oliver Lauridsen to Adirondack, general manager Paul Holmgren said.
Raffl, who was signed during last season from Austria, played in four preseason games. The Flyers were said to be high on the 24-year-old, but he went scoreless in his preseason games with a minus-1 rating.
Lauridsen saw plenty of time with the Flyers during last season due to injuries and looked good in most of his games. The big-bodied 24-year-old scored two goals and an assist in those 15 games.
The Flyers are deep at the blue line to start the season and Lauridsen's name will be one of the first called if a player goes down due to injury. Raffl will be on the short list for forwards as well.
