Flyers Acquire D Kent Huskins From Detroit

The Flyers added a bit of depth to their depleted defensive corps this afternoon.

General manager Paul Holmgren made a move today, acquiring defenseman Kent Huskins from the Detroit Red Wings for a conditional pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Huskins, 33, played in 11 games this season with Detroit as well as two gams with their AHL affiliate, the Norfolk Admirals. In 310 career games in the NHL, Huskins has 13 goals and 54 assists for 67 points.

Huskins will be a depth defenseman for the remaining 14 games this season.
