2013 Flyers Offseason Tracker
Here is a running tracker of all the Flyers moves this off season so far, as well as when the free agency period officially starts at noon on July 5.
July 5 -- Running tracker with times listed from most recent:
5:12 PM -- Paul Holmgren feeling negative on the possibility of bring back Simon Gagne at the moment, citing cap space as the reason. Flyers approaching the 10% mark that exceded the cap.
3:50 PM -- Montreal and Philadelphia have been in extensive trade talks that involve Max Talbot according to a few rumors.
3:09 PM -- The Flyers are reportedly close to bringing back left winger Simon Gagne.
1:20 PM -- Flyers sign goaltender Yann Danis. He will play in the AHL.
12:20 PM -- Flyers officially sign goaltender Ray Emery to a one year, $1.65 million deal.
10:42 AM -- Claude Giroux's extension has been made official.
10:00 AM -- Free agency officially starts at noon. The Flyers have already been linked via Bob McKenzie to signing goalie Ray Emery once the time period starts.
July 4 -- The Flyers re-signed center Adam Hall to a one-year, $600,000 deal. Hall will provide the Flyers with depth on the fourth line and the penalty kill.
Later that night, the Flyers extended the contract of captain center Claude Giroux. Giroux will make $66.2 million over the course of eight years following next season.
July 2 -- Top free agent Vincent Lecavlier agrees to sign a five-year, $22.5 million deal with the Flyers.
Earlier in the day, Tim Thomas was reportedly "intrigued" by the Flyers.
July 1 -- Flyers trade AHL defenseman Danny Syvret to the New York Rangers for AHL forward Kris Newbury.
June 30 -- NHL Draft. Flyers pick a pair of defensemen in the top 41 picks, a Zac Rinaldo clone and a trio of high schoolers with their six picks.
June 28 -- The Flyers were rumored to be shopping defenseman Braydon Coburn, with Edmonton and Carolina listed as the interested teams.
June 25 -- The Flyers officially bought-out Ilya Bryzgalov and Danny Briere.
June 19 -- The Flyers had rumored interest in Los Angele Kings goalie Jonathan Bernier and Anaheim Ducks forward Bobby Ryan. Bernier was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ryan was traded to the Ottawa Senators.
June 17 -- Five days after acquiring defenseman Mark Streit's rights from the New York Islanders, the Flyers signed him to a four-year, $22 million extension.
May 31 -- The Flyers won the rights to sign Austrian stand-out forward Michael Raffl and QMJHL blue liner Maxim Lamarche.
