It’s NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Eve, and starting tomorrow all the fun will begin for hockey fans.  The Flyers and Penguins, who have had many intense moments between each other throughout the years (TCL Flyers), will face off in what will be hard-fought playoff series (SBNation Philly).  TCL Flyers writer Mark Trible sat down with Seth Hastings (founder of 'HartnellDown'), The Hockey Guys' Dustin Leed, and The Fourth Period's Penguins writer, Joe Depto to preview the series on the latest edition of Flyers Corner (TCL Flyers).  The Flyers aren’t bothered by the fact that the Penguins are favored to win the Cup (CSNPhilly).

One thing discussed on the show was goaltenders.  While Marc-Andre Fleury of the Pens has the second most wins in the NHL, Bryzgalov is out to silence his critics (TCL Flyers).  Many people use his previous playoff records to criticize the goaltender, but Bryz matches up well against Fleury when you look at past performances, and the Flyers are confident in him (CSNPhilly).  He’s had a new and improved look in the second half of the season and doesn’t look to be turning back now (Orange and Black Pack). He’s one of three keys to success for the Flyers in the first round (Hockey Buzz).

When it comes to injuries, Briere and Grossmann will both be in the lineup for Game 1.  James van Riemsdyk has been out of the lineup for quite some time now, and will most likely miss the first round of the playoffs.  There is a chance he could be back though before the postseason is over.  He could be a key player to have back, but he could also ruin some chemistry (Flyers Faithful).

Some other key players who are healthy are Claude Giroux and Max Talbot.  Giroux has been the Flyers MVP the past two seasons, and now that he is considered a leader, he is eager to lead by example in the playoffs (CSNPhilly).  He is embracing the role (The Inquirer).  Talbot, meanwhile, will be going against his former team for the first time in the playoffs and he’s excited about it (CSNPhilly).
