The Flyers were looking for their fourth win in a row last night, and they did so in a dominating fashion.

Hosting the Panthers, the Flyers won by an impressive score of 5-0 and gave the fans plenty to cheer about (TCLFlyers).  It was Briere’s 800th NHL game, and while he didn’t end the scoring drought, he played exceptionally well paired with Simmonds and Read (TCLFlyers).

Jagr surprisngly played (Philly.com) but several players were still out due to injury. The Flyers depth, which will make them a dangerous team in the playoffs (TCLFlyers), came through yet again.

That, along with now fan favorite Ilya Bryzgalov (CSNPhilly) playing to the best of his ability yet again (Flyers Faithful), gave the Flyers arguably their best performance of the season.  The new guy Brandon Manning was impressive in his debut (Delco Times), and Matt Read seems to have broken the ‘rookie wall’ (Philly.com).

There’s no doubt that the Flyers have turned their play around since the trade deadline.  This is in part to GM Paul Holmgren acquiring needed players.  He should very well be included as a candidate for GM of the Year award (GCobb).  The additions of Grossmann and Kubina have been crucial for the injury-riddled Flyers (SBNation Philly).

The Rangers have surprisingly lost their second straight...

They were in Ottawa last night where the Senators just rolled right past them by a score of 4-1 (NHL.com).  The Blueshirts will be in Chicago tonight hoping to turn things around vs the Blackhawks (USA Today).

The Devils however won their second in a row.  They defeated the New York Islanders on home ice.  In the 5-1 victory (TCL Isles), Kovalchuk tallied a hat trick and he really looks like he’s changed for the better (Driving Play).

Like the Rangers, the Penguins will also be in action tonight.  They’ll look for their 8th win in a row against the banged up Panthers (TCL Hawks).
