The Flyers gained three points over the weekend and were very happy with the results. They took down the fourth place Penguins and now look like serious contenders for the Cup (TCLFlyers). However, they received some bad news regarding defenseman Andrej Meszaros yesterday. He’s now estimated to miss 6-8 weeks due to a herniated disc which requires surgery (TCLFlyers).
They’ll just have to continue on without him and several other injured players like they have been doing for most of the season (CSNPhilly). At least solid defenseman Paveel Kubina will be back in action tonight (Broad Street Bull).
Tonight the Flyers are home again, taking on the Florida Panthers (TCLFlyers). Ilya Bryzgalov will be in net, and some are wondering if he’ll be able to continue his stellar play or go back to his old self (Flyers Faithful).
The Rangers won last night, but Flyers fans still believe winning the division and conference is very possible (Broad Street Buzz).
