The weekend started out great for the Flyers.  The ending? Not so much.
On Saturday, the Devils were in Newark to challenge the Devils.  They were in charge, taking the Devils down in domitable fashion, 4-1 (TCLFlyers).  The offense showed up as did Bryzgalov.  One line really shined above the others, and that was the combo of Couturier, Read, and Simmonds (TCLFlyers).  The two rookies along with Wayne Simmonds, who is definitely a fan favorite in Philadelphia (TCLFlyers), looked great together and are showing up on the score sheet.
The win did come at a cost, though.  The Flyers lost three forwards due to injury (TCLFlyers).  Briere will be out indefinitely with a concussion (SBNation Philly).  Briere's concussion could changethe Flyers' mindset as the trade deadline is approaching (The Hockey Guys).  Zac Rinaldo (upper body) and Jaromir Jagr (lower body) are both day-to-day (NHLFlyers tweet).
In absence of Jagr, someone needed to step up and fill the RW role on the top line, and Brayden Schenn did exactly that (TCLFlyers).  Sestito (TCLFlyers) and Talbot (TCLFlyers) also stepped up, knowing they would have to against the big bad Bruins (TCLFlyers), but it was to no avail.
Despite offensive firepower coming mainly from Scott Hartnell in the slot (TCLFlyers), the Flyers were on the losing side of a 6-5 game (TCLFlyers).  Being a physical game, big hits were going to be thrown.  Ones like Schenn on Kampfer (YouTube), and Sestitio on Horton (YouTube).  The Bruins were not happy with the Sestito, calling his action a "blindside hit." (Puck Daddy).
It went to a shootout, and after it was all said and done, a Flyers fan by that goes by the username "Hockeyman55" discovered something which is actually very interesting:
Did Tim Thomas cheat just prior to the shootout (Reddit)?  He can be seen squirting the water from his Gatorade bottle onto the ice surface in front of him.  Definitely something to check out...
Either way, it's still only one point gained for the Flyers.  They can still take some positives from the game though, even though it resulted in a loss (CSNPhilly).
The Flyers, Rangers, and Penguins are all close to each other in the standings...

The division leading Rangers got a 3-2 OT win in Boston on Saturday night, improving their record to 30-12-4 (Blue Shirt Banter).
The Islanders also played Saturday night, and also went to OT.  They hosted the Carolina Hurricanes and came out on top, 2-1 (TCL Isles).
It was definitely the weekend of overtime games in the division, as the Penguins also had a game decided in extra time.  Malkin showed off his skill, while him and Neal connected in a 4-3 victory (The Washington Post).
