The Flyers are finally back on home ice tonight, and they are set to take on the Minnesota Wild (TCLFlyers).  They will unfortunately be without young, energetic forward Zac Rinaldo (TCLFlyers).  It was orignally believed that he would not miss any time (Sarah Baicker tweet), but GM Paul Holmgren announced around noon today that he is "day-to-day with an upper body injury (NHLFlyers tweet)."
With Rinaldo's injury, tough guy Jody Shelley will be in the lineup (NHL.com).  It will be his first game since December 23rd, vs the New York Rangers. It will be just his 15th game of the season.
As predicted by Rick Tocchet (Twitter), Ilya Bryzgalov will get the start tonight (TCLFlyers).  It's certain that he needs a win badly to boost his confidence, so it seems like Laviolette will continue to go to him.
Meanwhile, Sean Couturier is continuing time and time again to show he belongs in the NHL (Flyers.NHL.com).  The 19-year-old has a beauty of a wrist shot (YouTube) and has a huge offensive upside.  Not only that, but he's used very often on the penalty kill, and in key moments of the game.  He's second among all NHL rookies in shorthanded ice time per game at 2:42, and has won 46% of his faceoffs.

Claude Giroux and his number one line have been at a standstill recently, but Jaromir Jagr says he's not worried about the slump (CSNPhilly).  "Our third and fourth lines and that's a great sign," Jagr said. "Hopefully, we can get back on track."

It was the Islanders who were taken down early in the game by the Predators, losing 3-1 (NHL.com).
The Islanders will play again tonight, just like the rest of the division's teams.
They'll be in Islanders to take on the resurgent Caps who are looking for their eight straight home win (TCL Isles).
The Rangers, Devils, and Penguins will all be at home.  It will be the steaming Predators (5-game win streak) in New York (NHL.com), the Carolina Hurricanes in Pittsburgh (NHL.com), and the Winnipeg Jets in Jersey (NHL.com).
The Penguins organization will be hoping to get good feedback from Dr. Ted Carrick,  who Sidney Crosby will be meeting with again (Fox News).
