Last night on Long Island, Sergei Bobrovsky led the way and held on to a 1-goal lead late, when the Flyers defeated the Islanders 3-2 (TCL Flyers).  This was Bobrovsky's second game in a row where he has been impressive, and there's no doubt about it he's the starter (TCL Flyers).  Meanwhile, Sean Couturer, who had his second consecutive game winning goal last night, continues to show that acquiring him was the right move (TCL Flyers).

During the game, Flyers fans had a reason to feel worried for hard-working player Max Talbot.  He was hit be Steve Staios' elbow in the head, and it took a bit of time for him to get back on his feet.  He was certainly upset after the game, and had good reason to be (CSNPhilly).

Of course the Flyers would like a big defenseman in the absence of Chris Pronger and of course, there's going to be rumors.  A real interesting one is Luke Schenn coming to Philadelphia (Philly.com).  Schenn himself, though, seemed to shake off the trade talk (NBC Sports).

The Flyers did practice today in Nashville, where they'll be playing their next game vs the Predators tomorrow night (NHL.com).  Kimmo Timonen did not participate, for an unknown reason (@BroadStBull).  It could possibly be a maintenance day.

Three of the five Atlantic Division teams faced-off last night:

The Islanders didn't change their 36-point total with a loss.
The Rangers also didn't win.  They were at home to take on the surging Senators, who blanked them 3-0 (NHL.com).
Tonight, the only division team in action are the Pittsburgh Penguins, who will be in Florida to vs the Panthers (NHL.com).
